Hi! So, first of all, I know, bad Izzie. Haven't been posting. Well, that's a whole long story including thinking I won the fight, and I didn't. Well, that just sounds weird now, so I guess I have to elaborate a bit. Isaiah hasn't been going to sleep, like at all. He stayed up one night, all night, quite literally. So, I decided to take on an attitude about it. "Alright wise guy....You kept me up all night, now I'm going to keep you up all day! Haha! Evil plan!" So, needless to say....my plan didn't work. He went to bed at 9 PM and I was thinking, Yeah! Go me!
Well. He woke up at 2 AM, and was up all night again. Of course when he was ready to crash at 2 PM or so later that day, I willingly went with him, having not slept at all. I assumed he would be asleep all night and I was up until 1 AM, so I had exactly one hour of sleep, and not the good sleep. Like right when he woke up I was just about to fall into the satisfying sleeptime. So, I've been struggling with that for a while, and now he's just getting back into the swing of things and I've developed an addiction to coffee. Unfortunately this comes with an addiction to the toilet...Enough said. (Urination...God...)
Ok, so now to main reason for this blog. I was relaxin' earlier, tokin' on my ganja, watchin' me some youtube. I was watching Natalie Tran, aka 'communitychannel' and my dad comes into the living room and starts talking about something, so I hit pause, because it seems like he's really going to talk a bit. And here's where it starts getting annoying. 'Cause I listen, get the point, then ya know...conversation over, right?
Wrong.
He basically starts repeating himself, and telling me all the reasons why this thing is so great. Of course, these are reasons that I had already figured out on my own, but he has to tell me about it. At least twice. So I nod and pretend to listen. I know it sounds bad, but honestly, he repeats himself like 5 times, and it's just like, Okay dad...got it. I fully understand that your new laptop table is very convenient, hence the name of a convenience laptop stand. But of course, he has to outline its design to slide under the bed, to make a desk. But, all the while he's talking I'm doing this.
"Ah, yeah...ok." Then I will glance toward my screen, wanting to watch the video and hope that maybe that will be a hint. But no. "Yeah dad that's great, it works well." Another glance, nothing. Well eventually, he goes back to his room and I'm like, "Yeah!!" So I hit play and watch all of 30 seconds before....here he comes again. Well, maybe he's just going to get something to eat. So I don't hit pause, but of course, he is only back to talk some more about something. I'll be honest, I usually forget these things about 5 minutes after hearing thm, because it's always either some gadget, a celebrity, or 2012.
And, I'm not complaining. I'm just wondering....does anyone else have someone that does this? Or is it just me being annoyed with people for the sake of having something to dislike? Maybe both, who knows.
